TV Guests – Nicole Blum
Nicole Blum is a woman dedicated to filling her stable with real honest-to-goodness skills. Pursuing a life filled with making things, she is self-taught in most of her areas of expertise. Her favorite work, by far, is sewing and has done everything in her power to make certain that it’s a regular part of her days. She has co-authored a book with Debra Immergut, called Improv Sewing, that’s packed with 101 of her own designs and that breaks down the mystique of garment sewing and using one’s sewing machine as a tool for creativity. When she’s not sewing or parenting her two awesome kids, she’s a regular contributor and stylist for Family Fun Magazine, an instructor for Creativebug online sewing workshops, a singer in the process of recording her first album under the name of Small Parade, and the co-owner of a hard cider business with her husband called Carr’s Ciderhouse. She blogs with Debra on a semi-regular basis at improvdiary.com. Sometimes she wonders what would happen if dishes, vacuuming, and laundry weren’t in need of doing all the time!
