Before becoming an instructor, Lynn Strobel accumulated more than 20 years of experience working for major companies in the garment industry, as a designer and small business owner. The business specialized in private label manufacturing and design, working in the U.S. and Asia.

As an instructor, she taught at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising for 8 years, and at El Camino and Orange Coast Colleges for 12 years.
