Justine earned her degree in fashion design from FIDM in Los Angeles and worked as a costumer in film and as a bridal designer before taking time off to raise her five children. In 2010, she got back into sewing and design and started her blog, Sew Country Chick. Since then, she has been freelancing as a bridal and theater costume designer, as well as writing sewing tutorials for various websites and magazines.
