You’ll rarely meet anyone as eclectic as Carmen. Her in-depth passion for fashion, fine arts, performing arts, current affairs and education is completely unshakable. She’s the co-author of T-Shirt Makeovers (Glitterati, Inc.), Denim Mania and Chic Sweats (St. Martin’s Griffin), and has more books on the horizon. Carmen has been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, The B. Smith Show, The Look for Less and Full Frontal Fashion, and was a contestant on season four of Project Runway. Her editorials have appeared in German Business Vogue, Essence, YM Magazine, Elle South Africa, Luire Japan and more. She is the force and founder of Sistahs of Harlem (S.O.H.), a women’s brand that uses fashion as a platform to educate, inform and unite people. S.O.H. was a participant of President Clinton’s Urban Initiative and was honored at the Studio Museum of Harlem and the “BLACK STYLE NOW” exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York.
