Sew a Statement Swimsuit and More!
Summer style is so much fun, but what if you can’t find exactly what you need for your warm-weather activities, like swimming and golfing? Sewing superpowers to the rescue! We’ve got three patterns that you can hack into the outfits of your summer dreams!
Coral Reef Color Block
Sewing a swimsuit can be a fun and rewarding project, and there are many modifications you can make to customize your swimsuit to your preferences. If you want to make a statement, the cut-out one-piece swimsuit is the way to go. Swimsuits with cutouts are a stylish and unique way to show some skin while still maintaining coverage.
Pauline Bruce started with the easy (and 5-star-rated) Cottesloe Curve Swimsuit by Megan Nielsen and added some cutouts and colors to hack it into her Coral Reef Color Block Swimsuit (download the free pattern now!).
Fabulous, right? Grab the supplies below and get hacking!

Cami to Tankini
Meg transformed a workout top, the Casco Cami, into a colorful tankini top, bringing two colorful, fun spandex fabrics together. We’ve talked before about how hackable the Casco Cami is, check out how she transformed it into a sun dress! This time, she’s taking the Casco poolside.

Dress to Golf Skort
This may be Meg’s best idea yet! She’s taken up golf and in the process, discovered how hard it is to find cute and colorful women’s golf outfits. When she saw a vibrant shift dress at the thrift store, Meg knew she had to hack it into a golf skort. See how she did it in this episode of Style Revive:
