Online Instructor: Carol Ingram
Carol Ingram is an accomplished artist in the Fine Art Field who has worked exclusively as a freelance textile artist and designer for Sulky of America. Her 50 years of sewing and teaching experience in the textile world has provided her with special insight into combining art and textiles for which she has won many awards.
Her association with the Sulky team began in 1996 when she won first place in the Sulky Challenge contest.
During the last 16 years she has contributed numerous, exclusive, creative projects to every new Sulky book, including Sulky Secrets to Successful Applique in which she wrote an extensive section on color theory. Carol and Joyce Drexler co-authored the very popular Dimensional Concepts in Sulky book.
She has created hundreds of computerized embroidery designs for the Sulky Embroidery Club, Cactus Punch and Viking, and has made many appearances with her designs and projects on PBS TV Sewing Shows.
Carol also helps to develop projects and techniques for Sulky’s Certified Teacher Training programs, Embroidery Zen Programs, consumer shows and trade shows. She is widely known for her fearless experimentation and individual artistic expression, but most of all, for her love of teaching and sharing what she has learned.
