The piecing may look complicated, but it’s really just strips stitched together to make a few basic panels. It’s easy to customize to your favorite lunch-eater by using colors and patterns that appeal to them, or look for licensed fabric to make something for the kids in your life. The sky’s the limit when you’re working with quilting cotton.
The project is quilted — the instructions call for regular batting, but for a more insulated bag you can use insulated batting. This material has mylar added to it, which reflects heat and cold, keeping them to one side of the batting.
The goal of Sew It All is to bring you easy projects that you can complete in an afternoon, so we promise that piecing, quilting, lining, constructing and binding this lunch bag is an easy and fun process. I downloaded the 6 free patterns and noticed that the sizes are only labelled as XS, S, M, L, XL but can’t find any measurements to explain the sizing. Where can I find the measurements?
Let me check on that for you!
