Though sewing without feed dogs does take a little getting used to, the thing I love most about is the utter lack of rules. Yes, there are a few steps you need to take to set up your machine. Yes, there are also a few tips that will help you on your way. However, this technique is very freeing and lets you become an artist on a new level, using your sewing machine in a new way. My other favorite thing? All the yummy textures you can create with this technique.
