Happy Friday, and welcome to the latest installment of Freebie Friday here on the StitchBlog.

Today we're giving away a pair of books full of great sewing projects for girls. Here's a bit about the books (summaries from Amazon):

Sew Tina! by Tina Givens

Star fabric and pattern designer Tina Givens offers up her singular designs and unique color palette to stitchers looking for patterns for children. Embellished with Givens's own vibrant watercolor illustrations, and showcasing her strikingly original fabrics, this multifaceted volume includes garments, accessories, and home décor. More than 30 projects range from a dreamy bed canopy and whimsical mobile to comfy lounge suits and delightful dresses. With a section on techniques, even beginners will quickly master the patterns.

Girl's World by Jennifer Paganelli

Jennifer Paganelli designs one of the most popular fabric lines in the crafting marketplace. In Girl's World, her debut book, she presents twenty-one adorable sewing projects to make for little girls frilly dresses, ruffled pillows, bed canopies, stuffed animals, and more! Each project features Jennifer's fresh, feminine flair in sizes and styles perfect for toddlers to tweens. With step-by-step instructions, a comprehensive techniques section, and simple sizing charts ranging from extra-small to extra-large, this book is exceptionally easy to use. Featuring whimsical design, lush color photos, a ribbon closure, and a vellum pocket filled with pattern sheets, Girl's World makes sewing girly goodies a joy for crafters of all levels.

  1. We had a busy week in Sew Daily HQ last week, so everyone got a whole extra week to comment!

Finally, without further ado, it’s time to pick a winner! The random number generator has chosen ‘Hands sew full’ as our winner this week. Congrats Hands sew full – check your messages (click conversations in the upper-right corner of the screen) for a message from me with more details!

Thanks for playing everyone. We’ll see you again on Friday!

  2. These would be great for projects to do with my granddaughters, especially the older (7) who already begs for those times when school is out and she can come ‘sew with grandma’.

  3. I am always looking for new ideas of things to make for either my two girls or my three nieces, these books look like so much fun! I would love to add them to my library.

  4. Not sure if you would post to Australia, but would love the chance anyway. I am just a beginner sewing but loving the challenges of sewing for our active wee girl. At the moment she is not too judgemental lol. 🙂 Thank you.

  5. As a mother of boys I missed the opportunity to share my love of sewing with a daughter. Now I am a grandmother I am enjoying the opportunity to do girly things with my young granddaughter. These books would be great inspiration for us both! : )

  6. Nothing more fun than sewing fun clothes for girls. How I loved to sew for my daughter and nieces and watch them dance the afternoon away in favorite dresses from fabrics I matched up from my stash and pieces given as gifts from friends for them. I look forward to doing the same for my little granddaughter now as she is old enough to make a fun wardrobe for!!!

  7. Thanks for the chance! It seems that most fabric junkies are also book junkies…. hmmmm.

Looks adorable from the cover. I have a 5 month old girl, so I’m sure these would get plenty of use!
