Sew News Oso Tank FREE Sew-Along | GIVEAWAY CLOSED
Sew up a chic summer tank with Amanda Carestio and Meg Healy, the editors behind Sew News magazine and hosts of the Sew & Tell podcast, in this sew-along.
About this Sew-Along
With a fitted silhouette via princess seaming on the front bodice and an invisible zipper closure, the Oso Tank is the epitome of chic summer style. With wide bands for ample coverage, this slightly cropped tank pairs perfectly with a tiered skirt or, our favorite, elastic-waist linen pants for a balanced look that is surprisingly sophisticated. The pattern includes sizes 0-34 and stitches up perfectly in a wide variety of wovens.
Follow along with Amanda as she sews up this stylish princess seam tank. Start with fabric and size selection, then jump into the construction. Sew the princess seams and back darts, install the zipper, construct and attach the straps, finish the tank edges and hem – you’re done! Then join Meg and Amanda for easy hack ideas such as switching out the zipper closure for buttons, using shirring or stretch fabric across the back, adding a button front and more.
