Description
Looking for the perfect way to use scraps of your favorite batiks or other ethnic fabrics? Try this ottoman, made with 10″ long fabric strips in a variety of widths. It’s filled with pellets and finished with tassels for a global chic look.
Finished Size: 16″ high – 20″ diameter (40.5 – 51 cm)
Fabric Requirements:
. ¾ yd (68.5 cm) of batik fabric for center top and bottom (shown: red for top and bluebrown for bottom)
. 30 scraps of assorted batik fabrics for ottoman sides, each at least 3½-6½” wide – 10″ long (9-16.5 – 25.5 cm)
. 16 scraps of assorted batik fabrics for top border, at least 6½” wide – 7″ long (16.5 – 18 cm)
. 25/8″ – 68″ (6.8 – 172.5 cm) bias strip of batik fabric to cover piping (sew together strips to obtain this length as necessary)
. 1¼ yd (1.1 m) of 90″ (228.5 cm) wide muslin
