Learn free-motion stitching from start to finish with a combination course from Sulky. Start with Fearless Free-Motion I to understand the basics of setting up and using your machine. In part I, you’ll work through 6 tutorials on how to incorporate free-motion stitching in a variety of ways. Take what you learned into Free-Motion II to keep building your skills and continue using them with more projects!

Fearless Free-Motion I Supply list:
Note: Fabric A, B, C requirements are for the wallhanging, which is optional. All strips are cut across the fabric, selvage to selvage, assuming 42” of usable fabric. Cut off all selvages.
- Fabric A – (4) 5” squares
- Fabric B – (1) 2-1/2” x 42” strip for sashing; Cut this into (4) 5” strips.
- Fabric C – (2) 2-1/2” x 42” strips. From one, cut (1) 2-1/2 square; remainder is for border
- (2) 2-1/4” x WOF (width of fabric) strips for binding
- (1) 20” square of fabric for backing

The Expert:
With over 34 years in the sewing industry, Eric Drexler has developed a wide spectrum of expertise. As a senior in High School in 1983, Eric started working in Joyce and Fred Drexler’s Sewing Center as their sewing machine mechanic. Over the next 15 years, he went on to become a Teacher, Manager and Co-owner until the business was sold in 1998. For the last 13 years, he has been a full-time employee of Sulky of America during which time he has become more heavily focused on his creative side, while continuing to indulge his passion for sewing machine repair in the evenings and on weekends.
