The Biker Jacket Sew-Along includes instructional video content for each step of the pattern construction, and interaction with the instructor, Meg Healy, if you have questions along the way. Not only will you learn valuable jacket sewing techniques but also helpful tips for working with faux leather and suede fabrics, as well as how to choose suitable interfacings, fabrics, and notions to use for your jacket project. This is the perfect starting point if you have never sewn a jacket before, and a great place to learn a new skill or technique even if you are a jacket sewing pro!

Meg Healy
Meg had the urge to sew at a young age where she experimented with fabric and seams on her little sewing machine. Years later her passion for creating never diminished and led her to study Fashion Design both in London, Canada and New York City. While interning for Vera Wang and BurdaStyle during her studies, she was encouraged to accept a full time position with BurdaStyle where she is now the Online Editor and Lead Educator. In addition to her work with BurdaStyle, Meg also regularly writes for Sew News Magazine and co-hosts the sewing podcast Sew & Tell. When not sewing, Meg enjoys spending time with her family and also baking, cycling, and cuddling her giant pet rabbits.

Recommend making videos a little longer and showing what parts are being sewn together close ups made it difficult to see what pieces Meg was sewing. Otherwise it was a great course! Truly enjoyed making my first biker jacket and Burda pattern.
