If you’ve ever walked the beach at low tide and spotted a sand dollar, you’ve witnessed their symmetrical beauty firsthand.

A combination of paint and simple embroidery stitches on canvas combine to make this nature-inspired throw pillow. Placed on a porch swing or couch, this soft sand dollar will add a touch of a seaside summer to your décor.

1/2 yd off-white cotton canvas or duck

such as Tulip Soft)
— Off-white embroidery floss
— Off-white sewing thread
— 1 1/2 yd rope trim with a lip (or
cording)
