Description
It only takes a few moments of time to create adorable birdie magnets that sing songs of cheer into your kitchen! If you’re looking for an easy and fun way to use up old scraps, this is the perfect project.
Required Materials:
FABRIC (for 1 magnet)
- ¼ yd of 45″ cotton print fabric (minimum 6″ – 12″ rectangle needed)
- 1 fat quarter of felted wool (minimum 4″ x 4″ square needed)
OTHER SUPPLIES (for 1 magnet)
- 4″ x 4″ lightweight fusible interfacing/stabilizer
- 4″ x 4″ fusible web
- Coordinating sewing thread
- Pearl cotton (shown: white)
- Black thread for stitching eye
- Thread for hand stitching body closed (shown: light blue)
- Handsewing needle
- Needlework or embroidery scissors
- 1 Black 6mm seed bead or small button (for eye)
- Fabric-marking pen
- Small amount of fiberfill stuffing
- 1 – 3 extra-strong 2.5 cm round craft magnets
- Point turner
- Little Peep Magnet templates (below)
