ITH Pumpkin Cutie Clip Embroidery Design

Description

Stitch a cute pumpkin-shaped chenille clip in the hoop. Stack layers of fabric, cut them in strips and distress the edges for a fun textural look. Add a clip to the back to wear on a garment or in your hair. This design is featured in the Fall 2019 issue of Creative Machine Embroidery.

The Pumpkin Cutie Clip design measures 2.16” high x 2.5” wide with a stitch count of 454. It is intended to be used with one thread color.

This design is available for embroidery machine formats: ART50, ART80, DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP, and VP3. Also included is a spec sheet for the design and instructions for making the clip. Your designs arrive in one file in ZIP format—the file will need to be unzipped before transferring to your machine. Most desktop computers have software that will open a zip file.

To create the In-the-Hoop Pumpkin Cutie Clip, you will need the following supplies in addition to an embroidery machine:

• Tear-away stabilizer
• 3 1/2” square of orange felt
• Four 3 1/2” squares of orange cotton fabric
• 1” length of 3/8”-wide green ribbon
• Orange embroidery thread
• Slash cutter or chenille cutter (optional)
• Wire brush (optional)
• Pin back or metal clip & glue
