Throughout history, different cultures have produced “faceless” dolls for superstitious reasons, religious beliefs, or to illustrate that beauty is within.

With its remarkably simple design, a faceless muslin doll has an heirloom appeal and becomes the perfect blank canvas for creating and displaying doll clothes.

Durable and delightful, it’s sure to be someone’s favorite plaything for years to come.

— 1 yd prewashed cotton muslin
— ¼ yd cotton (shown: orange gingham)
— ¼ yd solid cotton (shown: sage green)

— Polyester fiberfill
— Handsewing needle and thread
— Clear ruler
— Two small sew-on snaps or 1″ of
hook-and-loop tape, ¼” wide
— Optional: Serger
