If you enjoy collage and can’t get enough of mixed media projects, you’re going to love a completely new application and style of crafting for adorning home furnishings. This workshop, taught by Cathe Holden at the Inspired Barn, will take you through the steps of printing graphics sourced from Cathe’s collection of vintage ephemera to use as fabric layering elements. Learn techniques for creating a balanced arrangement of texture and color in your collage composition. Use a stencil to incorporate a beautiful typographic design into your piece, and use postal rubber stamps as added embellishment. Attach your finished collage panel to a ready-made pillow form using a faux-sewing technique. Once you finish this course, you’ll be inspired to create even more projects using your own papers and photos to create additional unique and custom home décor accents.
