Description
Japanese indigo cotton prints have been paired with lightweight denim to create a stylish wallet. Three 50-yen coins have been stitched to the front of the wallet as a unique design accent.
Finished Size: 4″ – 8″ (10 – 20.5 cm) when open, 4″ – 4″ (10 – 10 cm) when closed
Fabric Requirements:
. Three 10″ (25.5 cm) squares of different print quilting cotton (A, B, and C; assign each fabric a letter: fabric A will be the main wallet fabric and fabrics B and C will be used for pockets and details; shown: Japanese indigo prints)
. 1/8 yd (11.5 cm) of lightweight denim
Other Supplies
. 5″ (12.5 cm) of satin piping (shown: cream)
. 4 ½” – 8 ½” (11.5 – 21.5 cm) piece of medium-weight fusible interfacing
. Matching pearl cotton (shown: navy)
. Embroidery needle
. Three 50 yen Japanese coins (metal washers can be used in place of coins), about ¾” (2 cm) in diameter
. Rotary cutter, rigid acrylic ruler, and selfhealing mat (optional, for cutting)
. Serger (optional)
. Zipper foot for sewing machine (optional)
