- Developing your bodice and corresponding sleeve sloper from your body measurements
- How to draft a skirt sloper
- Drafting your own pant sloper
- Transforming your bodice and skirt sloper into a dress sloper
- How to effectively store your slopers in your studio and how to use them
- Fitting each sloper by test sewing in in muslin fabric to access the fit and then alter your paper sloper pattern
- Developing a waistband and facings to finish off the edges of your slopers
- Preserving your slopers by transferring the sloper lines onto a more durable paper
Workshop Materials Needed:
- Pattern paper (brown craft paper)
- Tracing paper roll
- Clear gridded ruler (imperial)
- Large 24” L-square ruler
- Hip curve
- French curve(s)
- Pen/pencil/colored markers
- Measuring tape
- Tape
- Paper scissors
- Calculator
- Pins (for the test fit)
- 4-5 yds muslin fabric or a staple cotton woven fabric (no stretch, medium weight) – For the test fits of the sloper
