Description
Stitch a handy gift card holder in the hoop. This project is designed to be made with cork, vinyl or other non-fray fabric and holds a seasonal message for the recipient. Slip a gift card inside and tuck it into a stocking to spread a little joy. This design is featured in the Winter 2019 issue of Creative Machine Embroidery.
The Cork Gift Card Holder design measures 2.26? high x 3.55? wide with a stitch count of 2,325. It is intended to be used with one to two thread colors.
This design is available for embroidery machine formats: ART50, ART80, DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PEC, PES, SEW, VIP, VP3, and XXX. Also included is a spec sheet for the design and instructions for making the gift card holder. Your design arrives in one file in ZIP format?the file will need to be unzipped before transferring to your machine. Most desktop computers have software that will open a zip file.
To create the In-the-Hoop Cork Gift Card Holder, you will need the following supplies in addition to an embroidery machine:
- Two 3 1/2?x4 1/2? rectangles of cork or vinyl fabric
- Tear-away stabilizer
- 80/12 Microtex needle
- Embroidery tape
- Embroidery thread
