Prepare
1
Decide whether you want the single-color or multicolor design and load the design onto the machine.
2
Hoop two pieces of fabriclike water-soluble stabilizer. Tip: Hooping two pieces of stabilizer creates a more stable base for freestanding lace.
3
Wind a bobbin to match each color you will be using. Load the bobbin and thread the machine with the color you desire for the mesh and circle elements.
Embroider
Load the hoop onto the machine and embroider the design, changing colors as desired. The design stitches in this order: mesh, circle details, and eyelets, then each seashell starting at the top and proceeding downward. If using the multicolor design, change thread colors after each set of seashell stitches. Don’t forget to change the bobbin as well!
Finish
1
Remove the hoop from the machine and the project from the hoop. Trim the stabilizer from the perimeter of the design, leaving 1/8–1/4″ of stabilizer.
2
Remove the stabilizer following the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow to dry.
3
If using jewelry findings, use jewelry tools to attach the clasp set to each bracelet end, connecting them with jump rings.
4
If using ribbon or cording, thread the length through the eyelets.
