If you’re a fan of epic storytelling, more characters than you can count and stunning landscapes, HBO’s “Game of Thrones” might be for you. An adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice book series, the series has amassed a loyal following and begins its seventh season in July. The series’ rich landscapes and gorgeous costumes bring the stories to life on screen, including impeccable embroidered details designed and created by Michele Carragher. With 19 years experience in film and television and with a background in textile conservation, Michele brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to her work on “Game of Thrones.” We chatted with her to learn more about her work and her process.
