Sneak Peek: Color Keep Topping from Floriani Embroidery

We’re so excited about this material, which is perfect for eliminating “show through” of the background fabric. When you’re doing light-colored embroidery on dark fabric, or vice versa, reach for Color Keep Topping from Floriani Embroidery.

It’s ideal for embroidering on patterned fabrics as well, preventing that patterning from showing through into your design. We also love this topper for towels and terrycloth, as it keeps the pile pushed down securely under the embroidery, even after repeat launderings.

Hopefully this sparks some ideas for what you could create with this new material from Floriani Embroidery! You can use it any time you want to be sure you get crisp contrast between the background fabric and your embroidery. Plus it comes in five different colors: black, white, gray, rose, and yellow! You can either match your primary thread, or pick a neutral that gives you just the right amount of pop for your designs.

Here’s a great tip: you can secure the corners of the topping to your fabric using RNK Embroidery Perfection Tape before stitching your design.

When it’s time to remove the topping, simply tear it away from the perforated edges created by your stitching. If any pieces or remnants do not come away from the embroidery, you can use the tip of the RNK Heat Craft Tool to melt the topping away.
