Patio Style: Creative Machine Embroidery Summer 2020
In Colorado, we’re at the time of year when the weather is shifting almost daily between winter and spring — 70º one day and snowing the next. But the Creative Machine Embroidery Summer 2020 issue has me looking forward to summer, which is my favorite time of year. As I flip through its pages, I dream about you working on the projects you’ll find inside and embracing the warmth of the coming season.

I love summer, except for one thing . . . mosquitos! They love me, but I don’t feel the same way about them. This is why I’m so fond of the Patio Posh project — I love the idea of hanging a pretty, embroidered mosquito net around a chair on my porch so I can enjoy the warm summer air without being eaten alive.

Summer fashion is always fun to explore, and you’ll find a wealth of embroidered looks to replicate in this issue. Dorm Decor Collection
As much as I’m excited for summer, some of us are already looking forward to fall, when new grads head off to college (we hope!). At least you should be thinking about it already if you want to make everything in our cool dorm set — coordinating pillows, towels and a handy clothes hamper make a lovely gift to send with them as they head off on their adventure. Or make it for a younger child; it’s a great way to refresh a bedroom’s décor without having to fully redecorate.
