Creative Machine Embroidery Leaf Wreath Stitch-Along

Creative Machine Embroidery Fall Foliage Stitch-Along | GIVEAWAY ENDED

Welcome to the fall CME Stitch-Along! This time, we’re making the pretty autumn leaf designs that were featured in the Fall 2021 issue of Creative Machine Embroidery.

About this Stitch-Along

Leaves changing color are one of the prettiest signs of fall. Bring those bright colors into your home with these two leaf designs — oak and dogwood. The freestanding leaves include a layer of batting to give them extra dimension and a pair of eyelets for stringing on a garland or tying to a wreath. Stitch a selection in classic fall colors for the perfect seasonal décor, or use green fabric to make them work for spring and summer.

PLUS! All eligible emails that register for the stitch-along between 8/2/2021 and 10/31/2021 will be entered in a giveaway to win a prize pack from our sponsors at Floriani, packed with useful goodies that any embroiderer will love: a thread assortment, stabilizer and embroidery tape (a $250 value) or a year-long subscription to Sew Daily TV! See our sweepstakes rules for more information on eligibility.

The Expert:

Kate Zaynard is the managing editor of Sew News and Creative Machine Embroidery, as well as a host of the Sew & Tell podcast. She started sewing in college while studying costume design, then spent several years working as a theatrical dresser and stitcher in her hometown. Kate took a break from sewing to become an editor, but was delighted when her two professions collided, allowing her to write and edit stories about one of her favorite things to do. She loves having an excuse to sew for herself instead of for actors, and she takes a great deal of pleasure in sharing her knowledge and experience with other sewists as well as learning new tips and tricks from the experts she’s lucky enough to work with.
