About this Sew-Along:
Sew a pair of wide-legged, full-length culottes perfect for autumn or spring. Join Kate Zaynard, one of the editors behind Sew News magazine and a host of the Sew & Tell podcast, to learn how in this sew-along.
The Como Culottes offer a cool, modern update to the classic culotte. A flat waistband, inseam pockets and a side zipper create a sleek silhouette while ample, deep pleats and wide legs create drama and volume. Sew up a pair in warm fabrics with ample drape such as lightweight wools, suiting blends, tencel twill, mediumweight linen blends and more.
Follow along with Kate and sew these flowy pants. Start with tips for selecting the right fabric. You’ll sew the classic pleats, insert pockets into the side seams using two different methods. Stitch the pants together, then put an invisible zipper into the left side seam. Finally, finish off the waistband and hem the pants and you’re ready for some fall frolicking!
