Jeans are something we wear almost everyday and act as a second skin to our lower half! We all know how hard it is to find jeans that fit us and are our style and the color of denim we want… so why not tackle making your own pair of jeans exactly the way you want them.

Sewing your own pair of jeans can be intimidating and requires precision, patience and skill. This course will lead you through every step of the process including understanding denim fabrics, jean notions, as well as the jeans sewing pattern. You will also learn how to adapt the pattern to be alternate silhouettes, rises, and styles. Lastly, you will learn how to distress the jeans to make them look more worn in and store-bought!

Even just thinking of sewing a fly front zipper can be daunting, but don’t worry from this course not only will you be able to perfect sewing a fly front zipper, you will learn how to sew every aspect of the jeans including the pockets, yoke, and topstitching.

The most important part of the jeans making process is how the jeans fit! You will learn how to make pattern modifications before you sew them together as well as trying on the jeans mid way through and assess the fit before finishing. So get excited about making your own pair of jeans that no one will believe that you made yourself!
