How to Sew an Open Welt Seam (Tucked Seam)

In this video, we show you how to sew an open welt seam, which is often called a tucked seam. An open welt seam adds dimension and interest to your garments, and can look great on thick fabrics including wool crepe. You can also add decorative trims such as ribbon or lace into the open welt seam for a peek-a-boo detail effect.
