How to Hand-tack Facings in Place

with Meg Healy | Duration: 6:43 minutesRun Time: 7 minutes

Any garment that has an edge finished with a facing needs to be hand tacked down in place. This makes sure that the facing outer edge does not flip outside of the garment and hand tacking it in place really makes the facing lay flat and also results in a garment that wears better and looks professional. This technique is essential to sewing and properly finishing the inside of a garment. In this video Meg will demonstrate the best and most discrete ways of attaching the facing edges to the seam allowances of the garment.
