Burda Style Party Skirt FREE Sew-Along | CLOSED
About this Sew-Along:
Skirts are not only fun to sew, they can be a party! Even if it’s a party at home, you will need something to wear. This Burda Style skirt pattern (#113 07/2017) is so versatile, as it can be sewn as classically as it is pictured on the store page – and styled and sewn upscale. The contrasting bands allow for fun fabric color and print paneling to put your own spin on the included skirt pattern. In this sew-along, Amanda Carestio will walk you through every step of sewing together this skirt including piece paneling, hem facings, and a shaped waistband. Avid Burda Style sewist Meg Healy even pops in for a bit to talk about her fancy version sewn in brocade from Mood Fabrics as well as demonstrates The Burda Style Way of installing the invisible zipper.
This skirt sits comfortable at the natural waist, and the wrap effect is stunning yet secure – perfect for many different occasions. By the end of this sew-along you will be equipped with all the skills needed to stitch up this skirt as well as the included plus size version (also included) with a similar silhouette and contrasting bands so everyone can join the skirt sewing party! So, if you are looking for a new project to sew up for upcoming holiday celebrations, date nights, or just feeling fancy around the house – register for this sew-along today.
