Getting in a Gift-Making State of Mind

It's just about that point where I am really trying to psyche myself up for doing some major gift-making. I don't have a good track record at this, and I either find myself up until all hours the night before, or I am furiously pedaling around the mall on Christmas Eve day.

Sunny is my gift-making partner in crime!

But it doesn't have to be that way, right? I mean, it's not even Thanksgiving. I have plenty of time. And this year I have the motivation. I just read Jill's newsletter reminding me that it's so much nicer to cozy up to my sewing machine, than to fight the crowds at the mall. She is so right.

I figure that if I just give one half-hour per night to gift-making, I could make some considerable headway. And don't I also have the stack of felt from when I was up until all hours making the Modern Holidays project for a promotional video? I could make about 50 more of those fox ornaments and then some.

I think I'll just throw on the holiday tunes and get in the spirit of making and giving, which is so much nicer than buying and giving.

If you want to do the same, check out all these great Stitch gift patterns in the Sew Daily Shop.

Are you getting in the gift-giving state of mind? I would love to know how you do it! Do tell!

Happy stitching!
