Selfish Seamstress Am I
I am what is commonly termed a 'Selfish Seamstress'. Meaning, I rarely sew for others and feel absolutely no guilt about it. Even children's sewing I've limited myself greatly. I've made 2 children's costumes. One was a ghost and the other was a Plague Doctor, seen above. I put a lining into a hat for a friend about 14 years ago, I think that was the last time I did a repair job for someone else. I do routinely cut off holey pants at the knee and make them into shorts. But, that is IT! I do not have time to sew for others because that directly impacts the time I sew for…ME!
That being said there sure are some adorable cute children's clothes and projects out there. Which almost makes me want to sewing something for someone else. Almost.
What about you? Are you a die hard Selfish Seamstress or maybe not such a hard liner as myself? What types of children's clothes do you like to sew? If you need some inspiration check out these adorable patterns and books just for the little set.

I'm not all selfish and me, me me. I do sew for charity groups and if you have any recommendations for your favorite way to sew for charity or group, please let me know on the blog. I'm looking for a few new groups to sew for!
