It's Going to be A Mod, Mod Holiday

Does anybody else love a pre-sale? Certain fancy department stores will use this tactic of offering sale prices before the sale actually starts and it works like magic on me. There's something about feeling like I am getting in ahead of the throngs that gets me hook, line, and sinker.

Well, the new Stitch Modern Holidays gifts issue is about to hit newsstands, and, just like a pre-sale, you can be first in line to see it by pre-ordering.

I absolutely love this issue, because it so completely captures what I love best about modern retro holidays. I have never been much of a holiday decorations type, unless it's a blue Christmas. I am telling the truth! I have a blue Christmas tree that I keep up all year round. Give me kitschy or vintage and I will fall for it every time and I've always been that way.

We've worked hard to stock this issue with mod gifts, ornaments, and more to add a modern retro style to your home and gift-giving. I think you are going to like what you see, whether you are the sort to plan for the holidays months ahead (not me!), or making gifts furiously the night before (more like me).

Adorable apron by Stephanie Bracelin
So holiday mod! Decorations by Kevin Kosbab and pillow by Christina Camelli. Very cool yoyo tote by Rashida Coleman-Hale.

Love the Betty Page bumper bang that hair and makeup artist Greg Clark gave me!

I hope you will enjoy making your holiday a mod one, and you can pre-order Stitch Modern Holidays in the Sew Daily Shop.

Do you love a blue Christmas or anything that smacks of modern holiday retro? Do tell!

Happy stitching!
