A swatch journal is a fabulous tool for anyone who sews or has a lot of fabric! It serves as a portable record of your stash, so that as you shop for, yes, more fabric, you'll be able to coordinate colors, avoid duplication, and remember how much you have of a given fabric.

We've designed this handy Fabric Stash Book to help you get started organizing. This file contains two versions of the Stash Book - 8.5" x 11" pages to use in a binder, as well as a smaller, key-ring size version.

Note: For best results, set your printer NOT to scale down the pages. They will work fine if you do scale, but the hole-punch marks will not be lined up correctly if you scale down to print.

Love this idea! I'm heading to the U.S. in a couple months and will definitely be making and taking one of these along in my never ending quest for MORE FABRIC :)  I can't get good quality cotton here in a variety of prints so when we go stateside, I go crazy in the fabric stores!

Thanks so much for sharing this organization tool.  I've been wanting to do this for some time, but didn't know how to get started.

Awesome project. My stash is HUGE and this will help me not only with shopping but with organizing!!! Sew Daily, YOU ROCK!

I used to say, 'she who dies with the most fabric wins'. Now I say, 'she or he who has given the most to help others wins'! Yea

I love this project!  Whatever ideas I have in my head often disappear when I enter a fabric store because my brain freezes up upon seeing all the rainbow bolts of color.  I get a little glassy eyed and forget what I came for. I know I will own them all one day, LOL, however, now I can stay on track with my stash book.

I like this download, but the rint is small in gray color which is very dificult to read.  Why don't you have it in black ink which is better to read?  I tried to change my color on my printer but it came out the same.  Thanks
