This dress was made from silk dupioni and smocked with silk thread.  The lace at the neck was made with hand made french lace. It was made for my son's wedding.   Allie, my granddaughter, was the flower girl.   I worked on this dress for 3 months in the evenings after work.

After the wedding, I sent the dress to New York to have it preserved for the day that my granddaughter gets married.  Hopefully. her flower girl will wear the same dress that she wore in her uncle, Luke's wedding.

Well the wrong image uploaded.  I don't know how correct it. The picture that actually uploade was of an easter dress from 2009 that was a duplication dress from "Kari Me Away".

Gorgeous heirloom dress and Allie is a little princess. I just learned to smock last year, alas no granddaughters and my boys have made it clear that I cannot dress my baby grandsons in smocked clothes.
