Sew It All Volume 12

We are so excited to announce the release of a brand-new issue of Sew It All! Volume 12 is packed with fun, attractive projects that you can complete in an afternoon. Here’s a sneak peak at some of our favorites:

The boho-style dress at right is quick and easy to construct. It has a loose, comfortable fit that takes it easily from summer into fall. Love the fabric shown on the sample? Sew it up in the same fabric from the Talitha Dress Kit, available at shopsewitall.com.

Speaking of autumn wear, don’t you just love this skirt? The rose appliqués are suede, applied on top so you don’t even have to truly hem it. While the roses themselves are kind of summery, the colors and tweedy fabric scream “fall” to me. Wouldn’t it be lovely with knit tights and knee-high boots?

Departure Daypack

I’m a big fan of this simple drawstring backpack, shown here with cork as the main material. Not only is cork an amazing material to work with, it’s also sturdy and easy-to-clean — just wipe it with a damp cloth! It’s perfect for a hardworking bag like this.

Typographic Tote

I just love the Typographic Tote project. The typography-themed fabric is used to such great effect, and the piecing and construction are so easy, especially considering how sophisticated the final bag is.

We used scraps from the tote to create these tiny, elegant pincushions. Simple shapes can be sewn in a variety of fabrics and embellished in whatever method you can imagine to make a wide range of unique, personalized sewing notions.

Pleat Me Halfway Placemats

These pretty placemats really speak to me. It can be hard to find something unique to do with such a simple shape, but these tucks, pressed and sewn in different directions, will add a touch of elegance to any dinner table. Experiment with different fabric types to make them casual or formal.

Hot Pockets Potholders

Potholders may not be flashy, but they’re useful and they make a great gift, especially when they’re handmade. This potholder wraps around for a secure hold, with handy pockets to tuck your hands in. Consider sewing some up to have around the house for last-minute hostess gifts.

This is just a taste of what the new Sew It All has to offer. The issue contains 23 projects, plus a pattern insert for the smaller patterns and free pattern downloads for the larger ones. It’s available on newsstands until Nov. 26, 2018, or purchase it from shopsewitall.com.

We can’t wait to see what you sew!

  1. I can’t get to the download. It send me in an endless loop of verifying my e-mail and selecting what e-mail promotions I want in the future then sends me right back to the page I started on with no download. I bought the magazine. I’d like to be able to make the projects. What am I doing wrong?
