Celebrate Craft Month! Easy DIY Business Card Holder Tutorial

I love taking a break from sewing complicated projects by whipping up easy craft projects. On my post for Sew News I had a cute button bracelet tutorial. Today I have an even easier business card holder tutorial. I used a lovely spring time fabric, Butterfly Forest Collection designed by Ann Lauer for Benartex.  I love projects like these because they are simple, they bust up my stash a bit and they make for great gifts.  I hope you give it a try.

Three Squares of cotton fabric ( I used 6″x6″ squares)
Mid-weight fusible interfacing for one 6″x6″ square and one 3″x6″ piece
Two Pearl Snaps

All seams are 1/4″

One square will be the lining, one the outer and one for the pocket.
Cut your fabric. I cut mine as a 6″x6″ square, large enough to fit business card, credit cards and the like.

Following the manufacturers instructions apply the fusible interfacing to the wrong side of the outer fabric (6″x6″ square) and half of the pocket piece.DIY Business Card Holder Tutorial

Fold the pocket piece in half wrong sides together.

Next mark the snap placement on the pocket piece.

Place the pocket piece on top of the lining piece. Stitch together using a 1/8″ seam.
