Squaring Up

After you have pieced together a fabric block or section, check to make sure the edges are straight and the measurements are correct. Use a rotary cutter and an acrylic ruler to trim the block if necessary. Because you might trim off the backtacking on seams when you square up, machine-stitch across any trimmed seams to secure.
