May daughter found

this dress and asked if I could copy it.  Well, I'm not that good.  I am wondering if anyone has seen a dress pattern similar to this and/or do you have a suggestion on a simple way to made a dress similar to this one.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Hi,

I have not seen a pattern like this but I don't think it would be too difficult to find a plain t-shirt dress pattern and add the ruffles yourself.

kind regards,

Shirley

What I would do is go shopping and buy a cheap plain white t-shirt and some plain white lightweight cotton or lawn.  Dye fabric and shirt in colour of choice.  Try on t-shirt inside out and pin the sides in until desired fit has been achieved.  Stitch this new seam and cut off excess fabric.  Measure length of t-shirt and hem if needed.  Make a ruffle skirt as per a tutorial found somewhere on net.  Add some thin elastic to the waist of skirt so it stretches a little bit.  Attach skirt to top.  When choosing fabric for ruffle, make sure it is super lightweight or else the ruffles will be too heavy and drag the whole ensemble down.  Looks terrible too heavy too.  I made that mistake once and hope you can benefit from my past mistake. lol  Hope this helps.
