I have to say the last 2 issues of Stitch (including the issue I just received last week) have been MAJOR disappointments. I have every issue of Stitch, have loved it from day one. I couldn't wait to get the magazine, it was modern and full of projects I just couldn't wait to sew. The last couple of issues? I am lucky there are two interesting projects in the last 2 issues combined. The projects are running the way of the old fashioned sewing magazines that make me cringe. A messenger bag made from jeans? This was home ec in the 1980s for me. Literally! Also, it seems like there are fewer and fewer projects each issue. I am paying $15 for this magazine. I can understand cutting down the page count for a $2 or $3 tabloid, but I am paying the equivalent of a craft book from Amazon when I buy this magazine.
PLEASE bring back the high quality, modern sewing magazine I fell in love with on day one!
I don't know about getting the modern edge (I kinda like something of everything myself), BUT in the last issue RE: patterns that are printed with the magazine...why don't you tell us that there are different pieces on different parts of the pages and where to find them. On one of the purses you only listed one page and come to find out another part of the pattern was several pages away and I had already cut out the pattern thinking that the front and back were the same (NOT SO). This is exasperating to say the least. I do enjoy the different ideas and the patterns but PLEASE REFERENCE ALL OF THE PAGES THAT AFFECT THE SAME PATTERN. Thanks, Jody K.
Dear korieann,
Thank you for your feedback. We always love to hear from our audience, and we value your input. In the future, please feel free to email your thoughts directly to me (aeden@interweave.com). Also, we encourage you to submit to Stitch - and when you see work you like by other artists, please spread the word and encourage them to submit: http://www.sewdaily.com/blogs/stitchissues/pages/stitch-submissions.aspx. We have some beautiful issues in the works right now. We hope you will fall in love all over again!

Jody--
I'd love to help you out with this. Could you let me know which purse pattern you are referring to? We're always looking for ways to make the patterns easier for our readers to use.
I'd love it if you could email me directly, and I'll try to help you out in any way I can.
Thanks,
