Freebie Friday: Heat-Reflective Ironing Board Cover and Iron Rest!

Jul 29, 2011

Happy Friday all and welcome to this edition of Freebie Friday!

This week we have a couple of handy tool for the sewing room to give away: a silicone iron rest and a heat-reflective ironing board cover, both from Dritz.

The silicone iron rest protects surfaces from a hot iron. It's safe for use on ironing boards, tables, or counters, has raised dots that help your iron cool faster, and withstands heat up to 428 degrees!

The heat-reflective ironing board cover has a heavy-duty plush pad that permits soft, smooth, quieter ironing. Scorch resistance aids in longer life, and an elastic bungee cord fastening system tailors the cover for a tight, secure fit. Fits boards up to 15" wide.

As always, comment below (one comment per person) to be entered to win. You can comment until you see a comment from us announcing the winner sometime next week.

Have a stitchy weekend, and happy Friday!

I can't get the wrinkles out of my ironing board cover and would love a new one!  Only thing I'd like better is a new iron...

Great give away! :) I need a new board cover, I've had the same one for 7 years already.  The pad would be great too, this way I don't have to worry about knocking over the iron, lol.

This would be awesome!  Last week I ironed a project on my dining room table...Had two cotton pads and a table top ironing board.  Unfortunately, I have white marks on my table where the iron was resting.

My poor old, tattered ironing board cover has been ready for retirement for a long time.  The ironing board and iron rest would be a welcome gift!

What a great give away! Great timing, too.  I just revived the 'old board' with a fresh coat of rust-proof spray paint. What could be better than a new cover & iron rest?

I love the idea of the Silicone iron rest.  I dabble with quilt making - a lot of start and stops with limited time for quilt making.  I also love all of the neat ideas you come up with an share with others.  Thanks for all your information.
