Freebie Friday: Modern Log Cabin Quilting by Susan Beal

Apr 29, 2011

Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to this week's Freebie Friday giveaway!

This week we're giving away a copy of Modern Log Cabin Quilting by Susan Beal.

Susan outlines the entire process from start to finish, including basic quilting how-to as well as extensive design, fabric, and embellishment information. Since all log cabin designs follow the same formula, once you master straight lines and right angles, any of the 25 projects in this book are possible. From stash-friendly designs like the Charming Camera Case to more ambitious undertakings like the Vintage Linens Quilt, there's sure to be a project that will get you into (or bring you back to) quilting.

Leave a comment below to be entered in this week's Freebie Friday. We'll choose a random winner from the comments sometime on Monday!

I've been dying to find this book. Quilting intimidates me but I think I could handle it with some of her smaller projects. Hope I win!

My brain is already spinning with color combinations for my modern decor. I love the retro turquoise color & can see this design in my mind with that color & chartreuse. Wouldn't that be fun? I hope I win. ;)

I'm really keen to have a look at this book because the front cover looks so unlike what I think of when some says log cabin! It promises lots more good stuff inside!

This book looks awesome! I have left over strips from Amy Butler's collection and still don't know what to do with them! They're looking forlorn and waiting to be made into a stellar quilt!

:D
