Making It, a New Crafty TV Show

“Making things connects you to each other, to yourself and to a bigger world. And we all kinda need that right now.” ~Amy PoehlerMaking It - Season 1The new crafting competition series, Making It, airs on NBC July 31 at 10/9c. From sewing to quilting to decoupage to woodworking, this show features all sorts of crafting mediums and a few select talents who specialize in the art of crafting. Each week, the contestants have to complete a challenge; from what I gather it will be set up much like the Great British Baking Show and the like.

Each week as the show goes on, Sew News will interview a contestant so we can learn more about them and their craft! Tun in to the show and drop your comments below to let us know how you’re liking what you see. Will this show have the same impact on the craft industry that Project Runway did for emerging designers and newbie sewists? Or will it have even bigger impact with it’s high-profile hosts (Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman) and big network backing (NBC)?
