I am very partial to Stitch Summer 2012 because it was the first issue that I edited from start to finish. So I think of it as something of a milestone that more than a year after I started working on it (yes, we started the Summer 2012 in Fall 2011, go figure!), the patterns from the magazine are being sold as single products in the Sew Daily Shop
It was a delightful issue to create and to revisit a year later, and it's very hard to choose favorite projects, because, frankly, I love them all.
But here is a new peek at some of the projects that you can now buy individually.
Starting with the cover, April Moffatt's Flower Power Reversible Purse is just the right size for wandering through a Saturday farmer's market. And once you tire of one side, flip it inside out, and you get a whole new purse.
If you want a quick and stylish project, check out the Button Bling Ring by Carolyn Friedlander. All you need is a scrap of favorite fabric and a pretty button. So darling, you'll want to make a dozen!
The Lace and Linen Shawl by Marcia Van Oort is a sweet fashion accessory project that you can whip up in an afternoon and classic enough to last a lifetime, especially if you use some vintage lace to finish it.
And the Convertible Beach Towel-Bag by Ali Winston is one of those totes that is so clever you'll wonder why you never thought of it. Pack up your seaside items and when you get to the shore, unzip the bag to have a plush beach bag.
These are just a few of the Stitch Summer 2012 patterns now available. Find more in the Sew Daily Shop!
Do you have a favorite pattern from Stitch Summer 2012? I would love to know!
Happy stitching!
