Fabric Booths a Real Feast for the Eyes at International Quilt Market

Nov 7, 2012

I'm fresh back from International Quilt Market in Houston and while there was some interim drama with Superstorm Sandy, I still haven't forgotten the aisles and aisles of textile eye candy. Am I the first person to wish that Quilt Market would never end? On the last day, as they wasted no time tearing down booths, I mourned the loss of what had been my 3-day wonderland of fabric. Well, pictures speak so much more fluently than words in this case, so I will let the pictures speak for themselves! Feast your eyes on these booths!

Michael Miller booth. Amy Butler's Rowan by Westminster booth.

Anna Maria Horner's Free Spirit by Westminster booth. Melody Miller shows her fabrics in a Seven Islands booth.

Tula Pink's Free Spirit by Westminster booth. Alexander Henry booth.

Rock 'n' Romance by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery. Mary Jane's "Glamping" booth with her fabrics for Moda.

Benartex's Kanvas booth.

Now you can see why I would want to move into any one of these booths! Of course, all these fabrics need sewing techniques to match them.  Check out the new book Sewing Solutions, a great resource with easy-to-follow tips and techniques for any of these gorgeous textiles!

Have you ever attended International Quilt Market and Festival in Houston? What were your impressions? I would love to hear all about it!
